Having a process is crucial to achieving desired results. I want you to become familiar with my process so you know exactly what to expect and when to expect it.
To ensure we’re a good fit, I have you fill out the questionnaire on my contact page. You tell me about your business, your goals, and any concerns you may have. This helps me get acquainted with the project at hand and lets me know you are dedicated.
Next, is where we dive into the details. I consider this to be the most important part of the process. You get the chance to fully elaborate on your business. Through discussion, I learn about your business so we are on the same page. I cannot create a successful design for you if I don’t understand your business. The more information and participation I obtain from you, the better I can align the design with achieving your goals.
In order for us to have a successful relationship, expectations need to be set. This is for our mutual benefit. I will explain what you are to expect of me and vice versa. Once the contract has been signed by both of us and the initial payment (50% of total) has been cleared, I can begin the process of making you a new kickass logo!
I take everything we discussed and use it to guide my research on any additional information that is necessary to get a full understanding of the project/market.
Following our discussion, I begin sketching out ideas. I go through a ton of concepts, never settling on the first idea. This collection of ideas goes through a strict refining process until only one; the most successful option is left.
With the chosen concept at hand, I sketch out a larger version. I then go over the first round with tracing paper making alterations. This happens several times until your logo is just right. A final, tight sketch is prepared and later inked.
The final inked version goes into the computer where it is vectorized. This step requires a great deal of patience and refinement as well. Your logo is meticulously crafted through plotting anchor points and pulling handles until each curve is finessed to perfection.
Once the logo is completely finished, I create a guideline that instructs you on how best to use it. This guide should answer any questions you may have, but if not, I will be here to assist you.
